Sinus Augmentation Case #1
HB presented for augmentation of the both the right and left sinuses for future implant placement at sites #3 and 12. The right sinus had multiple boney septa increasing the complexity of the augmentation procedure. The left sinus had an older sinus graft that was placed too far posteriorly for the placement of an implant in the #12 site.
Pre-sinus augmentation radiographs.
The right sinus augmentation procedure utilized two separate windows for access.
Post operative CBCT images of the sinus 6 months after the operation. If you are wondering how the patient’s left side increased in density, it is because I also augmentated the patient’s left sinus (around the previous graft material) in the same appointment in order to restore tooth #12.
Radiographs at time of implant placement and final restoration.
Sinus Augmentation Case #2
RC presented for augmentation of the right sinus. Tooth #14 had failed on a bridge spanning #13-16. Implants were planned at #14 and 15 sites.
Pre-sinus augmentation radiographs.
Sinus augmentation procedure.
Post-augmentation radiographs with implant placement at #12, 13 and 14.
Sinus Augmentation Case #3:
RM presented with a previously augmented sinus lift. The sinus was improperly performed leaving him with inadequate bone for implant placement. Therefore, he was seeking a second sinus lift to be done correctly.
Pre-treatment radiographs, note the sinus lift which was placed too far distal for implant placement.
Sinus augmentation procedure medical to the previously augmented bone.
6M post-augmentation radiograph
Final implant placement at #3.
